Original Question:
Lately I'm not able to login into the display
normally, but through failsafe I can. This is from a
Digital 4100 running 4.0g. When I do try to login
normally, I get the following:
The DT messaging system could not be started.
I then click on and it exits me out. Every now and
then, after deleting the .Xauthority , I see the
desktop and I get the following:
The request to service this action has failed. A
toolkit connection could not be established....
THIS ONLY HAPPENS TO ROOT, OTHER USERS FINE...

suggested to delete the .Xauthority.

Then I logged a call with "the New HP" and talked to
Lance Berry, he suggested to delete the .TTauthority
and .Xauthority and that seemed to put the icing on
the cake, thanks to all.
