UPDATE2: 2 questions in one

Bah...Ok...apparently the boss has been withholding information from me. We
have a server running just one single Informix database. We have some informix
tool that is telling us that the informix database is only using 512MB of memory
(out of the 4 gigs). Our Informix DBA (if you can call him that) swears he has
the database setup properly in that it SHOULD be using as much memory as it
wants (it is set to "unlimited"). So I guess basically the question is, why is
it only using 1/8 of the available memory. Also there is 93% swap space
available. To me this sounds more like an informix question, but of course
everyone is blaming the OS. Why the Informix DBA isn't talking to Informix
about this is beyond me. Anyway, TIA
