configuring multiple interfaces on same subnet.

All,

I would like to configure a multiple interface on the same subnet for both
machines that I have in a TruCluster. According to the online docs, the
following criteria must be met:

* It must be part of one of the following physical network layouts:
o Switched Ethernet (10/100/Gigabit)
o Switched Fiber Distributed Data Interface (FDDI)
o ATM Classical IP (CLIP)
o ATM LAN Emulation (LANE)
o Point-to-Point (PPP)
* It must not be running a routing daemon (either gated or routed).
* It must have access to all remote systems through each interface
that is configured in the same subnet. For example, you must be able to
successfully issue a ping command to the same remote system when each
network interface is configured by itself. This implies that all interfaces
in the system are connected to the same physical network switch.

My concern is the statement stipulating that a routing daemon must not be
running because gated is required for the cluster. Can I set up this
configuration and have it work properly in a cluster? We are running a
switched Ethernet. I have a de504 card in each system and I am currently
only using the tu0 interface. I would like to set up the tu1 interface in
the same subnet to increase the bandwidth.

Thanks
