Dear Managers,

I am trying to create an ADVFS domain and get the following error when I
issue the mkfdmn command...
OS: Unix 5.1A with Patch Kit 2
Hardware: ES40

# mkfdmn /dev/disk/dsk3c raidc_domain
/dev/disk/dsk3c or an overlapping partition is open.
Quitting ....
mkfdmn: can't create new domain 'raidc_domain'

I have tried zeroing out the disklabel and then rewriting it.

# disklabel -z dsk3c
# disklabel -wr dsk3c

I also tried running newfs with the following error

# newfs /dev/disk/dsk3c
Error: /dev/rdisk/dsk3c or an overlapping partition is open.
Quitting ....

These disks are attached to a 3 channel SWXCR RAID controller (KZPSC)
The disk (dsk3c) is a stripe (RAID 0) of two 9 GB disks (RZ2DD-LS) that are
attached to channel 0 & 1 of the KZPSC raid controller.
I have also tried performing a low level disk format via the SWCC for the
RA200 and also by running the RA200RCU.EXE via the ALPHABIOS, without any
luck..

Any suggestions...

Thanks,
Bobby Dhaliwal
