RA3000 disk upgrade

I'm getting ready to do an upgrade to a RA3000, replace four 18gig Raid 0+1
drives with four 36gig Raid 0+1 drives, and I have done a backup to tape. If
I delete the virtual drive using SWCC can I reinstall those drives at a
latter time and still have the data or is it lost? I kown on the HSZ70 I can
remove drives and then re-add then, as long as I don't init them and the
data is still intact.
