Oracle 8.1.7.3 database

Last weekend we upgrade our Oracle database to 8.1.7.3 on our Compaq 4100
Alphaservers running tru64 unix 4.0f. We
have started to receive Ora-00600 errors that relate to memory leaks.
Oracle does have a one-off patch available and
a possible solution of going to 8.1.7.4. Has anyone had any experience with
the one-off or 8.1.7.4?
