ES45 to ES45

If I want to swap out an ES45 for another ES45 can I just take all the
drives (OS, etc) from the one and place them in the other and reboot
(maybe genvmunix and rebuild kernel)?

I realize if they were different machines (ES40 to ES45) this wouldn't
work due to the hardware database in 5.1A -- something I'm still not happy
about from the migration to 5.x from 4.x.

But I wasn't sure if the hardware database kept any specific info about
the machines if they were the same machine.

Anyone done this simple task that might know if it will cause me problems.
