Greetings,
No takers first time, but lack of experience
troubleshooting this kind of issue forces me back
here.
Well, It seems to be a problem across all our systems,
maybe from the way they have been previously patched.
I have gone thru pre-installation check on all of
them, and patch 211 from kit#3 wont install at all.
This in turn causes cde patches not to install.
Seems to be something blocking the install, as i have
explained in my previous email. Problem starts from
when patch 211 from kit#3 won't install.

It requires patch 095!! Here is where it bombs out::
*************************************************************************
Problem installing:

 - Tru64_UNIX_V4.0G / Security Related Patches:
        Patch 00211.00 - Security (SSRT1-19U,
SSRT0689U)

requires the existence of the following
un-installed/un-selected
subset(s):

 - Tru64_UNIX_V4.0G / Threads Patches:
Patch 00095.00 - Addresses performance and
scalibility
issues

This patch will not be installed.
***************************************************************************
snip@/home/moll$ setld -i|grep 95
OSFPATC0009503445 installed Patch:
Security,SSRT1-40U,SSRT1-41U,SSRT1-42U,SSRT1-45U,SSRT1-48U(Security
Related
Patches)

And From dupatch -track -type history_all, I have
patch 95 installed from this kit::
 dupatch -track -type history_all

Gathering details of relevant patches, this may take a
bit of time

So i guess question would be the best method to
continue from here.
Seems it needs some manual interaction, but not sure
where to start.

MY THOUGHTS: Un-install the 95 kit, and reload it from
the aggregate patch kit#3. So i am currently looking
into its info for reversibility. I always make my
patches reversible.....so unless its a patch
restriction, i should have no problem there.
Any pointers would be highly appreciated.

_Thanks

Richard
