hello true managers:
the quick specs for the compaq three channel backplane raid controller ds-kzpcc-ce, states that 5.1A requires hardware revision D01 and firmware revision CQ16.
on the other hand for 4.0G the revisons are C01 for the hardware and CQ16 for the firmware.
the question is : are the revisions for 5.1A supported under 4.0G.?
the reason: my 24 x7 alphas run really good in 4.0G and i plan to migrate slowly to 5.1A only looking for more support for san environments and other devices, so i'd like to buy the new ones ready for a future movement for 5.1A but still running 4.0G.
