Recovering data from corrupted vdump.

Hi,

I've got a vdump saveset which errors out when I try to restore it. I
suspect the corruption may be down to a problem on the drive used to write
the data. Does anyone know any possible methods of pulling any of the data
out of the wreckage that got written to the tape? I've dumped the saveset
onto disk to make it easier to manipulate.

Any hints gratefully received but if those hints are "delete and forget"
I'll live with it.
