As usual, the list came through with flying colours!
Thanks to Alan Davis, Jim Fitzmaurice, Michael Wheelock, Timothy Brown,
Martin Petder, and Dr. Thomas Blinn for your speedy responses.
The suggestions were as follows:
1) make sure that the console firmware on the AS1200 was current, at
version 6.0 (it was).
2) put the server into diagnostic mode to get to the wwidmgr
P00>>> set mode diag
3) Run wwidmgr to show/set parameters
P00>>> wwidmgr -show adapter
4) Initialize the server to exit diagnostic mode
P00>>> init
Just about everybody suggested reading the wwidmgr manual on the
firmware update CD (e:\doc\wwidmgr.pdf) for instructions, and checking
the AlphaServer site for updated configuration notes etc.
The adapter seems to be OK now - will be connecting to the SAN later
today...
