Got the recommendation below...so i believe i should
first start looking into SMTP-AUTH, and if stuck, will
direct my question to sendmail newsgroup.

There are many people using SMTP-AUTH built into
Sendmail.
I would recommend that you post your question to
comp.mail.sendmail.
