Using an external dvdrom with Tru64 4.0F / Alpha ES40

Hi all,

There appear to be a couple of list posts about this but I can't seem to
see any follow ups.

I have an external scsi dvdrom drive attached to an Alpha ES40. The SRM
correctly shows the
device (dka300) but once booted I'm unsure how to ID the device or create
it as something
useable by the system.

Any tips / advice would be greatly appreciated.
