SUMMARY: Memory Errors whilst booting from v5.1A CD

Many thanks to Pat O'Brien, Chris Eckhert, Shaukat Riaz, Werner Hahling,
Alan Nabeth & Dr Thomas Blinn for your valid inputs into solving my problem.

We've discovered that it was indeed a hardware problem and it was tracked
down to a faulty PCI to Single-Ended adapter within the Alphaserver 4100.
Once this was replaced, v 5.1's install program continued to run and install
successfully.
