We are using Tru64 4.0g and samba 2.2.23a
the compilation was easy
#export CC=cc
#./configure --prefix=/usr/local/samba
#gmake
#gmake install
#vi /etc/services
#vi /etc/inetd.conf
#kill -HUP 15448
After that i connected my web-browser to http://ip:901 and filled out the
authentication box.
But all i got is 401 Bad Authorization - username or password incorrect.
(Yes i tried it as root with the right password :-)
So i changed a paramter in /etc/inetd.conf for swat to run in demo mode:
swat stream tcp nowait.400 root /opt/samba/sbin/swat swat -a
Now swat is running and i and the whole company :) can configure samba
whitout authentication.
(We have ptys in /etc/securettys configured.)
Is anyone having more success with swat on Tru64 4.0g ?
