On the NFS server I have this is /etc/dfs/dfstab:
share -F nfs -o rw=biggroupa /users1
share -F nfs -o rw=biggroupa /users2
share -F nfs -o rw=biggroupa /users3
share -F nfs -o rw=biggroupa /users4
share -F nfs -o rw=biggroupa /users5
share -F nfs -o rw=biggroupa /users6
When I run showmount -e on the NFS server, I see:
/data1 biggroupa
/data2 biggroupa
/data3 biggroupa
/data4 biggroupa
/users1 biggroupa
/users2 biggroupa
/users3 biggroupa
/users4 biggroupa
/users5 biggroupa
/users6 biggroupa
When I run "dfshares bigserver" on the wrkstn, I see:
RESOURCE SERVER ACCESS TRANSPORT
bigserver:/data1 bigserver - -
bigserver:/data2 bigserver - -
bigserver:/data3 bigserver - -
bigserver:/data4 bigserver - -
bigserver:/users1 bigserver - -
bigserver:/users2 bigserver - -
bigserver:/users3 bigserver - -
bigserver:/users4 bigserver - -
bigserver:/users5 bigserver - -
bigserver:/users6 bigserver - -
biggroupa is a netgroup which does include the two wrkstns which are having
problems.
Other users who live in /users4 are able to mount their home dirs on other
workstations without problems.

If I try to mount manually: #mount bigserver:/users4/joeblow /mnt NFS fsinfo failed for server bigserver: error 7 (RPC: Authentication error) nfs mount: mount: /mnt: Permission denied This is only happening on 2 of more than 100 workstions. This is what is reported in /etc/messages: Apr 25 10:59:16 wrkstn1 nfs: [ID 664466 kern.notice] NFS fsinfo failed for server bigserver: error 7 (RPC: Authentication error) Apr 25 10:59:16 wrkstn1 automountd[170]: [ID 834250 daemon.error] Mount of bigserver:/users4/joeblow on /users/joeblow: Permission denied Issuing a "dfshares bigserver" does list all the proper shares. Culprit workstation has been rebooted to no avail... Thoughts Appreciated!
