Hi all,

How do I attach a PC monitor to an Ultra-10 running Solaris 2.7? (monitor
model is 18" NEC/Mitsubishi LCD1850E LCD Flat-Panel Display 1280x1024)

I connected the PC monitor to the SUN PCI card, but the computer doesn't
"see" it until I physically remove the SUN Creator 3D graphics card. Is
there a way to be avoid the removal of the SUN graphics card? After
removing the SUN card, the SUN booting messages appear properly on the PC
monitor, but right before the system is up, I get the following warning:

Warning: There are no 'nf' devices plumbed and up
Unable to start NF FDDI SMT/SNM daemon.
Warning: There are no 'pf' devices plumbed and up
Unable to start PF FDDI SMT/SNM daemon.

Also, when I try to load openwindows, the screen flickers and at that
point I just have to kill the process remotely.

Also, how do I attach a PC monitor to an Ultra-5 running Solaris 2.7?

Thank you very much for your input. Please, let me know if you need me to
provide additional info.
