SSH getting public keys from LDAP ?

Hi,

is there anyone out there on this nasty world who has managed to get
SSH-daemon on a server retrieve public (DES, 3DES, whatever) keys from a
central LDAP server ?

I have the keys already stored in the LDAP server, but now need to get SSHD
pick them up. Since apparently this is not provided in the Sun-shipped SSHD,
I went to OpenSSH-source and started modifying the code according to
"http://ldappubkey.gcu-squad.org/" but to no joy (yet).

Any help is mostly appreciated,
