That is not "OK sync" command, while I am using "OK sync", it saying that
"No callback routine has been installed"
While I am using "OK boot disk -a" get the following prompt, I was pressing
enter all the way till it hang
->Boot Device: /pci@8,600000/SUNW,qlc@4/fp@0,0/disk@0,0 File and args: -a
-> Enter filename ...
-> Enter default directory for modules....
-> Name of system file ...
-> SunOS release 5.9 Version ......
-> root filesystem type [ufs]:
-> Enter physical name of root device
->[/pci@8,600000/SUNW,qlc@4/fp0,0/disk@w21000004cfe407c4,0:al:

Then it will hang here

Thanks

I guess that your tried a boot -r?
If you try that, then stop-a the machine, and then make a sync, and then a
boot -r.
If this doesn't work try boot from the Solaris CD, and then mountig the root
disk, delete de device (X6758) and then again.
If this doesn't solve the problem, then try to pkgrm the driver.

Kind Regards.

Hi Sunmanager,

I am using SunFire 280R with solaris 9 OBP 4.5 and Version 112233-04 64-bit
Sparc sun4u. During installation of LVD SCSI card X6758, knowing that we
need driver for this card as for solaris 9, so we downloaded the drivers and
pkgadd the driver in. The README said that need to reboot the server so we
reboot the server and the server just refuse to come up anymore.

So we tried to unplug the LVD SCSI card but the server still hang after
banner and the hourclock stop turning. What to do now, please help.

Thanks
Robert
