Hi all,

Is there a way to configure NIC failover with a single IP address on a
server with 2 or more NIC devices? So far I have only been able to achieve
this by having a total of 3 addresses on the server, 1 IP per physical
interface(unique) and an IP configured as a virtual ip on the first NIC
(hme0:1 for instance). with the proper configuration of my hostname.hme*
files this works fine. But is there a way to set up my first interface with
only a single IP and have a second (or 3rd for that matter) NIC set as
standby with no unique IP address? The box would only have 1 IP that would
fail back and forth between the physical NICs. If this can be done, please
provide the hostname.$device syntax. Thanks!
