Umm, before I reinvent the wheel, do any of you guys have a script that
will merge a file containing a bunch of lines from a *nix passwd file in
to a real live passwd file?
In theory, I have a file spat out by something that just contains the
changes to passwd on system1 from yesterday. It needs to either replace a
line in the passwd file on system2, if it is an existing user, or add a
new line (preferably checking for UID collision) if it is a new user.
No, NIS is not an option, before you ask :-)
