Thanks to Cyril Plisko, Casper Dik, Kevin Buterbaugh, Jagannath
Gopalakrishnan.
UFS doesn't provide a public ioctl() interface for per-file Direct I/O, as
VxFS does.
Though, it provides a library function that issue the private ioctl call :
directio() (man directio)
Note that activating directio on an opened file will affect all other
processes accessing this file.

I know VxFS has an ioctl call for this (VX_DIRECT), but I didn't find the equivalent UFS option. I will summarise. --- Sebastien DAUBIGNE sdaubigne@bordeaux-bersol.sema.slb.com <mailto:sdaubigne@bordeaux-bersol.sema.slb.com> - (+33)5.57.26.56.36 SchlumbergerSema - SGS/DWH/Pessac _______________________________________________ sunmanagers mailing list sunmanagers@sunmanagers.org http://www.sunmanagers.org/mailman/listinfo/sunmanagers _______________________________________________ sunmanagers mailing list sunmanagers@sunmanagers.org http://www.sunmanagers.org/mailman/listinfo/sunmanagers
