Default boot-device question

I have a simple question:
I mirrored the root partition on my E280R using Disksuite and when I
rebooted, the eeprom says the following
boot-device=/pci@8,600000/SUNW,qlc@4/fp@0,0/disk@w2100002037423d22,0:a disk

Instead of
diag-device=disk disk1 cdrom net

which is what I have on a similar system mirrored similarly. Any ideas why?
