kernel patch upgrade question

Hello All,

I have a database server running on Solaris 8 with volume manager running and the currnet patch installed is Generic_108528-08. I want to upgrade the kernel patch with rev 17 or 18. Is there any dependency for this patch. I just want to make sure that it will not break the server and VM because this is a production server and we do not have a test envirnonmnet to validate. Right now the server is running fine with rev 8. Pls advise.
