Thanks to Bill Voight ,himanshukhona,and Kumar for responding to my
question regarding determining the Solaris Update
version.

The most prevelant answer was to check /etc/release
BTW sun provides updates to each version of solaris.
Maintenance Updates are known stable levels of the OS.

HI Managers:

I am in process of installing LDAP 5.1 on solaris 8. In The support doc
(H/W & Software) section refers to using Sun One Directory Server 5.1 with
solaris 8 update 4. What is update 4 means?

I will summerize.
