[SEMI-SUMMARY] disable kerberos after install/before boot

All,

First time I asked a question and didn't get a single answer :o(!! This
summary is a workaround that is good, but doesn't fully answer the original
question below.

In order to stop a newly upgraded (2.6 --> 9) system from asking about
Kerberos on bootup, mount the upgraded root filesystem on /a (or in the case
of Live Upgrade, as /.alt.<BE-Name>). Then go to /a/etc/rc2.d and comment
out the section at the bottom of S30sysid.net (make a copy first) that runs
the kerberos setup:

## if [ -x /usr/sbin/sysidkrb5 ]
## then
## /usr/sbin/sysidkrb5
## fi

This will skip asking about it. Once the system is up, you can run
/usr/sbin/sysidkrb5 manually to set the policy. After that, you can put
your original S30sysid.net back.

Still don't know what files it touches.... though I suppose I could've
truss'd the process when I ran it manually. Maybe next upgrade. Will send
a follow-up when I find it.

Jeff

Subject: disable kerberos after install/before boot

What file or files are touched by the jumpstart sysidcfg line
"security_policy=NONE"? I've just done a "Live Upgrade" to Solaris 9, not
using jumpstart, on a machine that I don't have easy console access to. As
it's booting, it's going to prompt on the console whether I want Kerberos
enabled. I don't (at least for now), so is there a way I can tell it not to
ask this question? I can mount the new root partition in order to update
whatever file necessary.

Thanks,

Jeff
