Hi All,
Any reason why /etc/netmasks set up like this (note: the 48 supernet is
working fine):
172.20.48.0 255.255.254.0
172.16.9.0 255.255.255.224
would result in an interface w/ an IP of 172.16.9.xx being brought up as a
/25 instead of a /27 - ex. - note the netmask which should be
255.255.255.224 not .128
ge0: flags=1000843<UP,BROADCAST,RUNNING,MULTICAST,IPv4> mtu 1500 index 2
inet 172.16.9.xx netmask ffffff80 broadcast 172.16.9.127
ether 0:3:ba:c:6d:70
The hosts are 6500s running solaris 8 and suncluster 3.
Thanks,
Justin
