X86 Solaris 8, Release 1/01 - cadp.conf

When Solaris is booting, it goes through the normal things:
Shows full blue screen of Current Disk Partition Information
Sun02 Secondary Boot version 3.00

Solaris Intel Platform Edition Booting System
Running Configuration Assistant....
autobooting device pci@1,0/pcie11,f620@2,1sd@0,0:a

If Hardware has changed hit ESC to run Configuration Assistance

Initializing System
Please Wait.....

If no tape is in the tape drive, the system boots fine and the tape drive
works fine. At this point, if there is a tape in the tape drive, the system
goes into the Solaris Device Configuration Assistant screens. Options F2 and
F3 hangs the system and I have to turn the machine off and on to reboot. If
I hit ESC to get to the Device Configuration Assistant screens without a tape
in the tape drive, everything seems to work fine.

Is there a setting in the /kernel/drv/cadp.conf file that may stop the system
from checking the tape drive during Initializing System?
I'm using the latest cadp160 driver.

Anyone else using this driver with x86 Solaris 8, Release 1/01 with an
external tape drive (Mine is an Exabyte tape drive)? If so, I'd like to know
if you had to add anything to the /kernel/drv/conf.conf file.

Any thoughts on the subject is appreciated.

John
