resizing disk slices

I have a disk partitioned and would now like to mirror the disk. However I
didn't leave a 10mb slice for the MetaDB.

It is sliced into 3 partitions

SWAP
ROOT
EXPORT

My question is:

Can I steal 10mb from EXPORT (its far from full) ? I think I tried this once
before and killed it but in my naivety back then I tried to do it when it was
mounted.

Is this something that can be done safely ?
