Dear Sun Managers,

I've a E420R machine running Solaris 8. After the
routine reboot of the system, one of the cron job is
unable to startup and the cron log is getting the
following errors.

> eda 1580 c Thu Dec 26 11:30:01 2002
< eda 1575 c Thu Dec 26 11:30:01 2002 rc=137
< eda 1576 c Thu Dec 26 11:30:07 2002
< eda 1580 c Thu Dec 26 11:30:09 2002
! SIGTERM Thu Dec 26 11:30:50 2002
! ******* CRON ABORTED ******** Thu Dec 26 11:30:50
2002
! *** cron started *** pid = 201 Thu Dec 26 11:32:44
2002
! unexpected pid returned 203 (ignored) Thu Dec 26
11:32:50 2002

My questions are:

(1) What is unexpected pid returned 203 (ignored)
means?

(2) For the following line, 1580 is it refering to the
pid?

> eda 1580 c Thu Dec 26 11:30:01 2002

(3) What is rc=137 (return code 137) indicating? I
wouldn't get it from "man -s 2 intro"?

< eda 1575 c Thu Dec 26 11:30:01 2002 rc=137

(4) What are the possibility that causes one of cron
job unable to fire up?

Highly appreciate if someone can shed a light on this.

TIA.

Regards,
Tim
