dat-3 tape problem

While doing a ufsdump on an hp 1537A DDS3 tape drive

Got the following

Sense Key: Media Error
ASC: 0x3b(sequential position error), ASCQ: 0x0, FRU:)X)
write error 1606 feet into tape

Anyone seen this ?

Its a brand new fujifilm tape -- is this a drive problem or media or can you
tell from this dump
