Admins,
I want to verify that crash dump is enabled on my
system and that crash dumps will be automagically saved.
I have done the following:
eeprom error-reset-recovery=sync
I have run dumpadm and it reports that savcore is enabled.
The savecore is directed to the correct location in /var/crash
My dump device is my swap partition
I am dumping the contents of kernel pages
On a 420R the eeprom setting for error-reset-recovery does
not exist but the dumpadm settings are comparable.
Is there anything I am forgetting to do ?
I will summarize
thanks in advance.
Phil P.
