So we are in the process of wholly upgrading our NFS /home* space.
Right now we have three separate home partitions. We are going to be
migrating to a new NFS server and SAN already so my question is....
Do I migrate to one massive /home partition (we will be using veritas
file system) or do I carve it up into the same three /home partitions,
but just larger than before? I'm leaning to the latter because of
"don't keep all your eggs in one basket" type of idea (but its all the
same SAN). The one /home partition does have the advantage of less
maintence (eg you only run out of space on one hard drive some time
farther in the future). What have other sunmanagers done?
