I realize it's a bit off topic.
Currently we are using Solaris 8, two fully populated Sun Fire 6800's,
Hitachi 9860 and Veritas Clustering, Filesystem and Volume Manager to
handle our Oracle 11i application cluster. This seems to be working
well but we are planning to expand our database and application use and
we are considering using RAC from Oracle. From what I gather the best
solution would be to use Veritas Database Edition Advanced Cluster with
RAC. I was wondering if anyone had any experience with this product or
could point me to some good resources. Also, if anyone has any
advice/nightmares about transitioning to RAC it would be greatly
appreciated. I will summarize.
