Guru's
I am looking for advise and suggestions.
I am about to begin testing LDAP for username and password management in
a Solaris and Windows (NT domain for now, but will be going to 2000 in
the next 6 months ) environment. This is not to say I am limiting
myself to just username and password.
I am considering running LDAP on Solaris 8 X86. Is that a bad idea?
What can I now do with Sun One? Is Sun One basically iPlanet software?
Should I just stay with OpenLDAP? What kind of modules will I
require/desire for Windows username and password management?
There is a desire amongst the Windows Admin group to implement Active
Directory. As I lay out the hierarchy for all of this, what
considerations must I account for to allow continued growth and
compatibility?
I know this was loaded with many questions, but I appreciate your ideas.
TIA
Marc B.
