I have installed veritas volume manager 3.2 in solaris 8
After creating the volumes and file systems, i see a lot of deficit in the
size of the filesystems.

for ex:

Volume Size : 30 G
After creating the file system (UFS) in the volume, the size of the file
system shows 28.1G,
the VMSA display shows:

Name Mount Point FS Type Size Used
Avaiable Capacity
/dev/vx/dsk/<group>/<name> /mountpoint ufs 28.1 G
9.0k 25.3 G 1%

Pls. Advice why there is lot of size variation after creating the file
system.
