Update/Followup: SunOS 4.1.3 Question

Thanks to the numerous quick replies. Looks like the process is the same,
except the commands are dump/restore instead of ufsdump/ufsrestore.

This leads me to another question: if I partition and newfs the replacement
drive with Solaris 2.6, would it be readable / backwards compatible with
sunOS 4.1.3? I guess I'm asking if filesystems created by Solaris 2.6 can
be mounted and used by SunOS 4.1.3.

Thanks,

Original Question:
-----------------------
We run Solaris 2.6 and 8 on our sparc boxes, but we recently had an
oversees plant ask us for help with SunOS 4.1.3. They have an unsupported
manufacturing machine (maker went out of business) controlled by a sparc 5
running SunOS 4.1.3 and custom control software. They want to take a spare
sparc 5 and make it a backup in the event of failure of the original. The
original system has a 1GB & a 2 GB internal drives, and the replacement has
a single 4GB internal drive (all other things the same).

Without OS install media is it possible to transfer the entire system to
the backup? I know for Solaris 2.X it would simply be partition new drive,
ufsdump|ufsrestore the filesystems, installboot, and it would be ready. Can
anyone shed any light on the 4.1.3 process, or am I out of luck without OS
media?

Thanks for the assistance,
Thomas Carter
