SMS Channel configuration error in Iplanet messaging server 5.2

All,

I am configuring SMS Channels in Iplanet messaging server 5.2, defined sms
channel as per the document given by sun , but when we try to send mail to
sms gateway we get the following error in sms channel log.

Cannot locate US-ASCII character set table , aborting

All character set names ( including US-ASCII ) given in file
/usr/iplanet/server5/msg-<system>/imta/config/charsets.txt . sms channel is
defined in /usr/iplanet/server5/msg-<system>/imta/config/imta.cnf and the
channel definitions are defined in
/usr/iplanet/server5/msg-<system>/imta/config/smsdm_options file.
