hi managers..
need some help with a wierd problem. ufsdump failed with error point to tape
drive. but after i change the drive with a working one it still error.
system SF280R attach to external tape drive using onboard scsi port. when i
do backup #ufsdump 0ucf /dev/rmt/0n / and /var it is ok. but when i do on
/usr error accurs. not state about harddisk error only point to tape drive.
change the tape and error still accurs. ufsdump to file OK. fsck multiuser
OK fsck single user OK fsck while booting using cd OK w/out error but when i
try to do backup same error come out.
so i leave the system up for few days maybe 3 week then i came to
troubleshoot again the problem. try backup and the error did not accurs. i
try change tape and it went fine. first i thought maybe the system is OK now
so i try rebooting the system then do backup. and only now the error came
again. what i can see / is 51Mb and /var around 100Mb. i try to backup /usr
around 700Mb FAILED and /opt1 aroung 10Gb moounted on another hdisk also
FAILED. so i though maybe / and /var success is because of it's small size.
can someone give me any clue??
