I need to set up a couple of dial in modems so that
I can login to an Ultra 1 at work from home.
The modems are old external, US Robotic types.
One is US Robotic Sportster 28.8k Fax modem.
The other is a US Courier V.Everything with V-34
These 2 modems are to be connected to the 2 serial
ports in the back of an Ultra 1 at work (no firewall)
The ultra 1 is running Solaris 8 OS
What type of serial cables do I need (straight thru,
null modem etc...)?
What about the phone line requirements?
What are the (dip switch) settings required for these
2 old modems?
What files do I need to configure (manually) on the
Sun server? Should I use admintool instead?
Any input would be appreciated.
