ive got a xyplex maxserver 1500 with 16 ports each connected to a sun
server or workstation. All is well except for one thing:
when i get on the console of a server or workstation and reboot the
machine it kicks me off the xyplex also. when I tip hardwire from one
sparc to the other with a null modem cable i can reboot and stay
connected, but when i use the xyplex as the access to the console port of
a sparc and reboot that sparc I get disconnected from the machine (of
course) but then also the xyplex itself.
anybody had this before? ive used annex terminal servers and was able to
stay on the the terminal server on the port of the the rebootingb machine
and did not get kicked off the terminal server. thoughts? tia, will
summarize.
