Years ago it used to be very simple to connect a printer to a serial
port on a Sun workstation. Now I have forgotten all I ever knew,
and the job seems harder without the fun of editing a printcap file!
Does anyone have any hints on how to connect an HP2100TN to the serial
port of an ultra5? There seems to be 2 ports, a and b, and a looks
like an rs232 port while b is a 9 pin port. Which should I use?
I'll need to get a cable so I ought to know which port before I
get the cable.
Do I configure with lpadmin or use admintool? I'm guessing this
is a postscript printer but I suppose I should look it up to verify
that. If it is a postscript printer will just setting the output
options to all take care of printing postscript documents?
