On Running the SAME Batch process from 2 Machines (APP Servers) with NO
Other Load existing on the Same :-

OBSERVATION - "CPU sys Time" on the Whole & in particular "sys time " of
Functions "read" , "write" , "brk" , "llseek" taking MORE Time on SF15k
versus SF6800 (Both machines being APPlication Servers)

Qs How may it be addressed / approached ?

COMMAND used - $ truss -aefc <Executble of Batch process >

ON SF15k ( 24 CPUs @ 900 MHz )

syscall seconds calls errors

read 43.33 245407
write 42.85 246099
brk 7.41 47184
llseek 29.03 286888 227

ON SF6800 ( 24 CPUs @ 750 MHz )

syscall seconds calls errors

read 23.77 243182
write 23.82 244280
brk 3.76 43878
llseek 7.85 286062 119

NOTE - Both the above 2 Machines being used as APP Servers Connect to the
SAME Database Server (3rd Machine )
