Startup scripts question

Hello all,

Recently I have been trying to set up a startup script for
sshd in /etc/rc2.d -> /etc/init.d/sshd
(above linked to /etc/init.d).

The shell for root in etc/passwd is bash.

but everytime i reboot the machine, sshd does not come up.
becuase the .profile file has an LD_LIBRARY_PATH in it,
which i guess is not accessed during startup.

The shell script says #!/bin/sh .... but sshd does not come
up after a reboot. Any ideas...

Also, I notice some scripts in rc2.d have #!/sbin/sh as its
shell path, and some #!/bin/sh
Any specific reason for this?

Thank you. I will try and summarize the answers.

Radhika
