Good day,
I'm in the process of purchasing some new Sun equipment for our company. I'm dealing with our accounting department to figure out a depreciation value to place on the equipment. The standard here is two years...for Intel based equipment. I'm of the opinion that we should look at a longer time period for the Sun equipment...I still have Sparc 10s that were desktop units that are humming along as file servers. Financially, it's a better deal if I can spread the costs over a longer period.
I would appreciate any views on this topic.
Thanks in advance.
