Hello:

I am trying to jumpstart a SunFire V100 machine using a Sun Ultra 5 server with Solaris 9
installed on it.I have created all the necessary files and folders on the server. I have 2
problems.

Problem 1:
-----------
When i try to start the installation using boot net - install, I get the following message on the
screen :

panic[cpu0]/thread=3000023fd00: Can't invoke , error 2

000002a1000eba40 genunix:icode+284 (1442c00, 0, 1436f38, 30000243438, 16, 0)
  %l0-3: 00000000ffbffff0 00000000ffbffffc 0000000000000000 000003000023db88
  %l4-7: 0000000000000000 00000000ffbffffd 00000000014556e0 0000000001455400

syncing file systems... done
skipping system dump - no dump device configured
rebooting...

My question is : Why do I get this panic message ? How can I correct it ??

Problem 2 :
-----------
When the system reboots, it takes the defaults value ( boot-device net, boot-file (blank))
This time the above error message is not displayed, instead the booting process continues and
everything works fine till the process displays the message "Starting Solaris installation
program". At this point instead of searching for the Jumpstart directory and using the profile
that I have specfied in the rules file, the installation goes into an interactive mode and
continues successfully in an interactive mode.

My questions are : Why does the installation go into interactive mode ?
Is it because the boot-file value is blank instead of - install ?

Any help on the above problems is appreciated.

Thx
