Hung process (pfiles cannot control process)

I forgot to mention following message.

  # /usr/proc/bin/pfiles 18938
  pfiles: expected REQUESTED stop, pid# 18938 (0,0)
  pfiles: cannot control process: 18938

(Above hung process is Interscan Viruswall smtpd
which is working perfectly in two other similar
systems).

Thanks,
Vikas

All,

I am unable to truss the hung sendmail (Interscan
Viruswall) process but can kill it ie, truss gives no
output. Two other exactly similar systems are working
with load avg. 2 whereas in this machine load goes
upto 11. Also, "top" shows high "kernel" activity
(~60%).

After going through the following for hung process,
adb -k /dev/ksyms /dev/mem

  WCHAN_VALUE$<mutex gives me
  0x691fd075: unknown lock type 1f

Can you please give some inputs.

5.6 Generic_105181-26 sun4u sparc SUNW,Ultra-4

Thanks,
Vikas
