Telnet from PC X Issue

Team:

 I telnet from a PC and launch a xmotif application. I
have two screens (the emulator window and the
application window) if i click the X on the emulator
window the telnet connection is lost but the GUI
hangs. How do i resolve this issue. Any ideas Please.
