Hi,

It looks like I have shot myself in the foot -

I have NIS running on Solaris 8 - Sparc environment. I had thousands of
inactive users in the Passwd file so I hand edited the Passwd and Shadow
files and ran Make. Well, it did create all the maps from new files BUT
since then it does not allow anyone to login saying " Invalid user shell,
login rejected "
 Prior to making changes, I saved all the files in /var/yp/ directory. Now,
after not being successful in implementing the new files, I have put the
original saved files there but still even they are not working now and it
gives me the same error message.

I need immediate help please - the whole system is down !!!!!
