Hi Managers; I have a mission critical server that has developed a
consistent N/W fault. SUN E450 solaris 2.5.1. The server loses all
network settings including its IP address on reboots , it reverts to
loopback localhost only (ping, netstat & ifconfig confirm this). The
error it displays on bootup is:- configuring network interfaces ifconfig
SIOCSIFADDR hme0: cannot assign requested address hme0 running
sys-unconfig on the system and manually entering IP & netmask seems to
bring it back on the network, it loses all settings on rebooting as
before. can you help? TIA John
